Dr. Salzer has been our orthopedic specialist since the 1990’s. Every office visit and medical situation involves his professional approach and concern. He does a super job of explaining what your problem is and how to address it. He is able to see patients in Beaufort, Bluffton and Hilton Head. Simply…he’s the BEST!!

Dr. Scott, did a shoulder replacement on my right shoulder in March 2025. I was healing beautifully and by May, I was done with physical therapy and back to my healthy self. I will be having the same surgery on my left shoulder in a few months. Dr. Scott was terrific

Dr Del Gaizo is was informative, professional and gave me options as to my left hip that needs replacing. He was sensitive to the anxiety I have regarding my need for a second hip replacement in a year. Dr. Del Gaizo successfully performed a right hip replacement last May 2025. My right hip fantastic, like new.
I highly recommend Dr. Del Gaizo and his team.

He’s very precise with his explanations of different CARDS I have options on.. scoping of my shoulder or total shoulder replacement or what I opted for today was an cortisone injection.. very clear on all three choices.. I waited close to an hour in the room before he came in.. was a bit disappointed no one came in to check on me and for me to ask if I am next or whatever.. other than that.. I like Dr Dean very much.. he took care of my shoulder and was very pleasant to talk with..

Dr Dean explained the diagnosis and offered several treatment plans providing good information on the pros and cons of each one.
When I opted for surgery he explained the risks as well as the benefits. He was also cognizant of travel time and explained why he wanted to do the surgery in Beaufort rather than locally. Overall I found him to be kind and he listened to me and provided opportunity for me to ask questions.
